As the local Community Action Agency for Lake and Geauga Counties, Lifeline continues fighting the War on Poverty in Lake & Geauga Counties, assisting our residents to make strides towards self-sufficiency and improving the quality of life for all residents. Poverty affects everyone in some way. Over the years, Lifeline has helped thousands of local residents who were struggling with basic needs and trying to become more self-sufficient.

Today our programming is spread over three key areas: Information & Referral Services, Community Services, Energy Assistance Programs and Guardianship Services. Lifeline has a typical annual budget of approximately $2 million in expenditures, as well as 30+ employees and over 20 programs. In addition, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lifeline formed new partnerships and developed new ways to meet the needs of Lake & Geauga residents including PPE distribution, WIFI expansion, senior food delivery and the distribution of millions of dollars in state and federal Coronavirus Relief Funds for housing and utility assistance.
